Yesterday before we went out to town we already packed the majority of our bags so this morning only the last things had to be gathered so check-out went farely easy. The car had to be parked near the house, but fare away enough to notice and capture this beautiful sight.

After the car was fully packed we went to the harbour in Olbia. This time with Grimaldi Lines. Departure time was 12:30 and chek-in would close 2 hours prior. We arriveved around 09:30. We were one of the first cars. One would assume that the first cars arriving are the first cars to disembark. 6 hours later this did not turn out to be the case…
However, we had a good trip. Leaving the harbour of Olbia also offered a pretty nice scenery.

Apparently we were assigned pullman seats. They are comfortable, but after 6 hours waiting around, you get prerry spaced out nonetheless.
The ferry arrived quite early. But disembarking was terrible. Before embarking the staff demanded everyone except the driver to get out of the car and walk onto the ship. Untill getting back to the car we were asking ourselves why… But hey, when you let everyone park like this…
So Nikki and the kids got out quick… but it took more than an hour before we could get out.

But, here we are… back on the main land after 2 weeks. We rented a little loft for the night in advance so no hassle. We dropped our bags, got freshened up and headed for a nice little restaurant within 50m. Over dinner we discussed how we wanted to spend the way back home. From Civitavecchia to Naarden it was still a 1600km drive. We could ‘survive’ this, however it’s not comfortable and Jesse really wanted to see the Pisa tower.
So we decided that we would do an early check-out and head to Pisa. From there we would drive to Como and spend 2 days over there. And so it shall be!
