Canyoning (Quenza area)

23-07-2026

The road towards the base of canyoning company was already an amazing begin of the day.

The last time we did this we were in Spain. Really fun to do and something Jesse was looking forward to the most. Cool that the company had a family option. This time Jesse was able to do every jump. Even though he was never the limiting factor ;). We went with a small group, about 3 families. Because someone of the other group overestimated herself one of the 2 guides had to accompany her back to base. Therefore the much younger guide started with us. He soon became something of a god for Jesse.

The following movies will speak for themselves.

After al this sportiness we were peckish! So on the road we went. Had to stop a couple of times because I found myself a bit to close to the edges of the road (or at least Nikki thought so…) because of the stunning views.

We found a restaurant quite high in the mountains. Great and fast service. This restaurant turned out to be loves by competitors of the GR20 route. The GR20, also known as Fra li Monti, is a Grande Randonnée (GR) long-distance hiking trail that traverses the Mediterranean island of Corsica, running roughly from north to south. The entire route is approximately 180 km (112 miles) long and involves around 12,000 metres (39,400 feet) of cumulative elevation gain. The GR20 is widely regarded as one of the most challenging long-distance hiking trails in Europe and one of the toughest routes in the entire GR network.

Stunning views from the terrace

Great food. In hindsight it was here were Jesse decided he’d go for salads the rest of the vacation. Can’t blame the kid. Looks mouthwatering.

After these well deserverd and needed vitamins it was time to hit the road again. Surely not after shooting some pics ;).
