— Speaking about it and actually doing it… —
So the decision to go on this adventure was made quite soon after the news that the construction of the new schoolbuilding from our kids was delayed. The benefits of this were serious as in that case we would have enough time to explore Skye but also the fact that several bookings could be made outside the season which saves us a lot of money.
We went to Schotland before in february 2020 for a 10-day trip without the kids and wanted to go back ever since. Even discussed about moving as it is such a beautiful country!

This time we have booked a house for a week alone on Skye.
Before we reach this gem we will have 2 overnight stays after arriving in Newcastle.
Later on we will leave Skye and head on to Kilmorack which is less then a 30-minute drive from Inverness.
After that we will head on to Kincraig to watch some reindeer!
Of course we wouldn’t dare to skip Edinburgh and this will be our last stop before heading back to Newcastle.
