Neist Point

Tuesday October 29, 2024

The famous lighthouse on the most westerly point on Skye. Quite a hike, certainly the way back. We told the kids at the end ;). But, there are some terrific viewpoints.

We even went a bit further towards the cliffs this time. Much to the frustration of Nikki. ‘What if you fall!’ she said. I answered something like ‘at least it’s a nice view going down!’ To which she replied ‘but you have the car key’. So here you have a little insight of our type of humor.

It looked like a cool angle. It actually was, but getting there. Remember my little story about the new shoes? Ankle-deep… But still dry!

It was time to get back as it got more foggy. After having some snacks en drinks at the car we decided to go to another viewpoint. When we arrived the fog was quite severe. But nevertheless. we had a go at it.
Yes 2 pictures, not an mistake but just to show you how fast the weather changes.

Pip and Jesse had asked before if they could make a picure. Normally we say no. That may sound a bit lame. However, we are still a bit precocious about our camera. But we thought if we have some control about the angle, we might even get a nice picture out of it!

Nice going guys!

I guess they liked the background as they wanted to be in front of it as well.

Back at the house suggested to play Jenga. And what better place doing that in front of the fireplace with a local brewed beer!

Who’s winning?

Jesse agreed to the perfect location and waited…

So this concludes our first awesome day on Skye!
